My Phone

December 18, 2007 at 10:57 pm (Uncategorized)

I’m going to have a little moan on here because I’m so annoyed! My nice pretty pink phone a Nokia 7390 got wet and stopped working so Vodafone sent it off to be fixed, but because of the water damage it couldn’t be fixed and Vodafone don’t stock the phone anymore. So I had to swap the phone like for like (basically have to pick another phone which is closest to that one) I had a choice of 4 phones a Nokia N73, Samsung U700, Sony Ericisson K800 or K810 or whatever it’s called and they were all ugly and horrible. I wanted to a Nokia as I don’t like Sony’s and I didn’t want a Samsung again so I picked the Nokia N73 but I hate it! It’s ugly the buttons are all over the place, there is no memory card so the phone has hardly any memory I can fit 2 songs and 2 messages on at one time (so I have to buy a memory card to put any more) and I can’t set my own songs as my alarm…the worst part is I have an 18 month contract only had the phone I wanted for 6 months and now have this crap phone for a year! :(

Keepsakes: Royalty Free Photo’s

November 17, 2007 at 9:42 pm (IDAT 205, Uncategorized)

Ollie thought we could use some photo’s from iStock or whatever it’s called that are top quailty and of familes but there is a downside we’ll have to pay for them.

I think I have a solution to that problem there’s a magazine my dad gets every month called Digital Arts (it’s really quite interesting) there is always a free disk with it, with tutorails of the things they mention in their magazine.
On this disk is 50 royalty free photo’s which might be useful with for us, I haven’t looked at them yet but if they are useful it’ll save us having to buy some photo’s.

Stupid Computers

March 8, 2007 at 7:15 pm (Uncategorized)

Why are computers so annoying? Today I was hoping to get a lot done for my Soft131 assignment due in a Week on Monday (19th March) but the laptop with Visual Studios 2005 on decided to run very slowly and freeze every ten minutes or so.

I restarted it and it all seemed to be going fine, but firefox wouldn’t load, and kept being “non-responsive” which became very annoying! It would also freeze everything and then take about ten minutes to close (even going via ctrl alt delete) this meant in 2 hours I wasn’t able to do any work (well I was, just wasn’t able to test it which isn’t good as I have no idea if it works or does what I want it to) I could try it on another computer but as it’s on my memory stick it’ll involve switching from computer to computer just to test it out…plus someone was playing on it.

I am now running Nortan Anti virus but this can take a while so once again in an evening when I can do my work and make a dent in it is lost due to everything else and not me being lazy.

As the deadline is getting closer and closer I’m stressing out more and more when I loose time or when stuff comes up that I have to stop doing work (like last night) I’m thinking of my schedule for the next week and I really can’t see how I’m going to fit all the work in…as I have pretty much lost one more night of doing work (again) :(
