First Workshop
I started university doing Multimedia, Production and Technology (MPT) with that course they shared a few modules with Digital Arts and Technology, one of which is the IDAT 101 module.
So for the first few weeks of the module I attendend the MPT group session, the first practical session we played Chinese Whispers, and then used the same theory only with pictures instead. We then had to split up into groups and draw something at once, (so everyone drawing on the same page at the same time) only we weren’t allowed to finish anything off i.e. we could start a tree but couldn’t draw the whole thing, others would have to finish.
That week we got out first assignment, we had to form a group and produce a map and present it in the next practical session. In the group I was in we were a bit stuck for ideas and not too sure what we needed to do or what the lecturer wanted to see.
So we decided to do it on our trip to Burger King after Univeristy. We had pictures, and a story line…but then me and Claudia changed courses and swapped to the Digital Arts and Technology group. We never ended up presenting our well thought out map.
